Chemistry Learning Center

The Chemistry Learning Center (CLC) is located on the first floor of the Chemistry Research Laboratory Building (CRL 157). CRL is located on the WVU Downtown campus on Prospect Street across from the Mountainlair Parking Garage.

ACS Student Affiliates provide FREE Tutoring! Spring 2025 Information is:

  • Tutoring available? Expected to begin on Mon Jan 20 and continues throughout the semester each Mon and Wed evening from 6-8 pm.
  • No appointment necessary. Walk-in for tutoring and to get help with chemistry.
  • Tutoring is targeted at students enrolled in CHEM 110, 111, 112, 115, and 116.
  • In addition, Spring 2025 tutoring for CHEM 233 (Organic Chemistry 1) is expected to be available at select times.

The CLC offers resources for students such as:

  • Free evening tutoring (CHEM 110, 111, 112, 115, and 116)
  • Chemistry teaching faculty office hours.
  • Problem solving videos by chemistry faculty are available here.
Free chemistry tutoring is available at other learning sites on campus:
  • STEM Learning Center (available on first floor of CRL in Room 152 and next to the Chemistry Learning Ctr; currently focuses on tutoring for CHEM 110 through 116, MATH 124 & 150, STAT 111, 211, 215, & 312 and PHYS 101 through 112; see more details here)
  • Eugene V. Cilento Learning Center (available at Engineering & online)
