Doctoral Academic Enrichment Fund

The Department of Chemistry will assist Doctoral graduate students participating in activities that complement, extend, and enhance their research and broader academic pursuits at West Virginia University. 
Master students should apply to the ECAS academic enrichment program.
Please see the guideline below:• 
  • Students may receive funding for said activities up to $500 per academic year (through 5/30/25). Funding allocation is at the discretion of the Associate Chair of Graduate Studies and is dependent on fund availability.• Students must apply individually for this award; no group applications will be accepted.
  • Students may submit their application as soon as they plan the activity but no later than 14 days after the activity's conclusion.
  • Applications will be reviewed on the first Friday of each month. Once approved, funds may take up to 4 weeks to be credited to the WVU student account.
  • Funding for this program cannot be disbursed directly to the student nor via a state card.
  • Per diem rates do not apply for this program. Meals may be included in the activity budget; however, funds are awarded based on receipts and cap at $50 per day. 
  • Students should retain all receipts associated with the activity for which they have been awarded funding. Expenses that cannot be verified will not receive funding. Documentation to verify the expenses for your activity must be submitted to KevinDixon within 14 days of the activity’s conclusion.
