Physical & Biophysical Chemistry

Physical chemistry is the study of the behavior of matter at the molecular and atomic level, as well as how chemical reactions occur.

This includes the experimental and theoretical investigation of complex chemical reactions both in the liquid and gas phase, as well as at the surface of nanoparticles. Biophysical chemistry uses the concepts of physics and physical chemistry for the study of biological systems such as protein folding and their interaction with cell membranes.
