Dr. Valentine's research interests include the development of novel gas-phase separations techniques that can be combined with mass spectrometry (MS). This work is centered on the technique known as ion mobility spectrometry (IMS).

Congratulations to Steve Valentine (PI) and Glen Jackson (co-PI) for receiving a grant in the amount of $1,376,751 from the National Institutes of Health to support a research project entitled "Developing IMS-SID/MAD-MS Instrumentation for Characterizing Intrinsically Disordered Protein Structure".
